ABOUT THE VENUE
The Bruce Lurie Gallery, established in the early 1980’s in New York’s East Village and since relocated to Los Angeles' Culver City Arts District, has a particular focus on establishing emerging to mid-career artists specializing in cutting edge street art, abstract minimalism, and pop art, with an additional recent focus on photography, and also features a wide range of monumental sculptors.

Open Show Los Angeles provides a forum for our local community of visual storytellers to share their projects. Each month photographers, filmmakers and multimedia producers of L.A. gather at different venues around town for an evening of live presentations and lively conversations.

4-6 curated presenters have 15 minutes each to introduce one project. Both ongoing and completed work is accepted. We welcome diverse topics ranging from documentary to fine art.

The LACP Open House will be happening that day with events from 9am-4pm, so please come early and stay later for the activities. Call for Entries Deadline: OSLA #51 @ LACP

Open Call!

OPENSHOW LA is happy to announce an open call for our next event, to be held at the Los Angeles Center of Photography as part of their Seventh Annual Spring Open House (Mar 15-17). LACP will be hosting wide variety of events that weekend, with Open Show LA scheduled for 11:30am-1:00pm on Saturday, March 16. If you are available at that time and have work to show, we want to see it! Head over to our event page soon to submit your 15-25 image portfolio soon to be considered. Please also mark your calendars and stay for the LACP Open House which includes festive activities like lectures, portfolio reviews, book panel discussions, and gallery exhibits. Look out for LACP’s announcement with the details.

Open Show LA #50: FOCUS Photo L.A. Finalists at Photo L.A.

OPEN SHOW Los Angeles is pleased to collaborate with Photo L.A. in its 27th year of photography exposition from Jan 31 to Feb 3, 2019. OPEN SHOW LA will host special artist talks that feature curated presenters from the winners of the FOCUS Photo L.A. competition. An exhibition of the 20 images will also be shown at the fair.

Join us on Saturday Feb 2nd from 1:30 to 3:30pm at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California.
